Elizabeth Urstadt, age 39, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 30, after officers in New Canaan responded to a report of a vehicle swerving on the roadway in the area of New Norwalk Road and Old Norwalk Road, police said.
Witnesses provided a registration for the vehicle was and officers later located the vehicle in the driveway of the address shown on the registration, New Canaan PD Lieutenant Jason Ferraro said.
Upon speaking with Urstadt, a New Canaan resident, the officer detected signs of impairment. Standard field sobriety tests were administered and Urstadt was taken into custody.
Urstadt provided a blood-alcohol sample of .255 percent, well above the allowed .08 percent.
She was charged with DUI and released after posting a $250 bond.
